Abstract
This paper represents results of research which potential Croatia has in health tourism. Tourism in the Republic of Croatia is achieved in the Adriatic region, which is mostly based on seasonal tourism products. Health tourism in continental Croatia is based on natural healing resources that are mostly combined in wellness, medical and spa programs. These resources are not being used well enough, even though they are the key factors for Croatia and its continental part to become recognizable health destination. Health tourism has recently become an area of greater interest and research in the world. Because of changes in people's lifestyles, health tourism has a potential for further growth. Croatian health tourism in general has a lot of potential for further development because of its natural predispositions, highly qualified medical staff and suitable infrastructure.
Abstract (croatian)
Ovaj rad predstavlja rezultat istraživanja koje potencijale Hrvatska ima u zdravstvenom turizmu. Turizam u Hrvatskoj se najviše ostvaruje na Jadranu koji se najviše temelji na sezonskim turističkim proizvodima. Zdravstveni turizam kontinentalne Hrvatske baziran je na prirodnim ljekovitim resursima koji se najčešće kombiniraju u wellness, medicinskim i spa programima. Spomenuti resursi nisu dovoljno iskorišteni, iako su ključni faktor za Hrvatsku, pogotovo kontinentalni dio, kako bi postala prepoznatljiva zdravstvena destinacija. Zdravstveni turizam je danas postao područje velikog interesa i istraživanja kako u Europi tako i u svijetu. Kako dolazi do promjene u životnim stilovima ljudi, zdravstveni turizam ima potencijala za daljni napredak. Hrvatski zdravstveni turizam općenito ima dosta potencijala za daljnim razvojem zbog prirodnih predispozicija, visoko kvalitetnog medicinskog osoblja i pogodne infrastrukture.
