Abstract
Održivost i turizam međusobno su povezani budući da je bez pažljivog baratanja turističkim resursima nemoguće održati iste i koristiti se njima u budućnosti. Svaki poslovni subjekt, tako i turistički, ima za cilj maksimizirati profit kako bi ostvario što uspješnije poslovanje. No želja za poslovnim rezultatima lako se pretvori u nerazmjerno korištenje resursa koje na kraju ne samo da može usporiti poslovanje, nego i oštetiti prava budućih generacije da koriste resurse koji su nama trenutno dostupni. Grad Zagreb najveći je grad u Hrvatskoj te sve popularnija europska destinacija koju godišnje posjete milijuni turista. Unatoč potencijalno najrazvijenijoj prometnoj infrastrukturi u Hrvatskoj, postavlja se pitanje da li je ta infrastruktura dostatna za kontinuirani turistički rast s kojim se grad suočava, a kao takva da li je i održiva? Održiva mobilnost zahtjeva zadovoljavanje društvenih potreba; slobodnog kretanja, pristupa željenim lokacijama, komunikacije, slobodne trgovine, te uspostave odnosa bez ustupaka za stanovništvo ili okoliš.
Abstract (english)
Sustainability and tourism are interconnected as the one implies the other. Without careful handling of tourist resources, it is impossible to maintain the same and use them in the future. Each business entity, as well as the touristic entity, aims to maximize profits in order to achieve a more successful business. But the desire for business results can easily be turned into a disproportionate use of resources that can ultimately slow down the business, as well as act on harm of the future generatons. The city of Zagreb is the largest Croatian city which is rapidly gaining popularity as an European destination, visited by millions of tourists each years. Despite the most developed traffic infrastructure, there is question of its sufficiency for the upcoming touristic growth the city is facing. The goal of sustainable mobility should be aiming for is to meet the needs of society to move freely, access, communicate, trade and establish relationships without sacrificing other important human or ecological requirements.
