Abstract Turističke destinacije predstavljaju sastavne čimbenike turističkih sustava i to one
čimbenike koji su zaduženi za poticanje djelovanja cjelokupnih sustava, privlačenje posjeta
turista te motiviranje turističkih dolazaka. Također se kroz turističke destinacije povezuju svi
navedeni elementi. Grad Zaprešić je započeo sa intenziviranjem svoje ponude unazad tridesetak
godina s obzirom na svoj geoprometni položaj s obzirom da kroz njega prolaze ključni
prometni pravci Zagreba i Republike Hrvatske prema smjeru Hrvatskog Zagorja, Slovenije i
dalje prema području zapadne Europe. Grad Zaprešić je smješten na području Zagrebačke
županije. Zagrebačka županija je pak locirana na području središnjeg djela Republike
Hrvatske te svojim položajem graniči sa šest ostalih županija- riječ je o Karlovačkoj županiji,
Sisačko-moslavačkoj županiji, Bjelovarsko-bilogorskoj županiji, Koprivničko-križevačkoj
županiji, Varaždinskoj te Krapinsko-Zagorskoj županiji. Pritom, poput prstena grad Zaprešić
okružuje Zagreb, glavni grad Republike Hrvatske. Istraživanje u ovom radu je provedeno u
razdoblju od 29. veljače do 12. ožujka 2020. godine. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od
104 ispitanika od kojih četiri ispitanika nisu posjetili grad Zaprešić te nisu nastavili anketu
nakon selekcijskog pitanja. Ispitanici su najviše zadovoljni prometnom dostupnosti
destinacije. Ispitanici su najviše zadovoljni prometnom dostupnošću lokacije te ljepotom
prirode i krajolika dok su najmanje zadovoljni ponudom organiziranih izleta u okolicu te
programom za loše vrijeme. Trenutno ne postoji aktualni dokument koji je usmjeren na razvoj
turizma i turističke ponude grada Zaprešića. Ukoliko grad Zaprešić želi imati kontrolu nad
budućim razvojem, u prvom redu treba imati odgovor na pitanje gdje želi biti odnosno na
kojim će turističkim proizvodima bazirati svoju ponudu. Grad Zaprešić bi se trebao usmjeriti
na brendiranje grada i njegovih turističkih atrakcija. Brendiranje u turizmu proces je koji
izdvaja određenu destinaciju po njezinim karakteristikama, stvarajući identitet iste.
Abstract (english) Tourist destinations are integral factors of tourist systems, namely those factors that
are responsible for encouraging the operation of entire systems, attracting tourist visits and
motivating tourist arrivals. All the above elements are also connected through tourist
destinations. The city of Zaprešić started intensifying its offer thirty years ago due to its geotraffic
position, given that key traffic routes of Zagreb and the Republic of Croatia pass
through it in the direction of Hrvatsko Zagorje, Slovenia and further to the area of Western
Europe. The city of Zaprešić is located in the Zagreb County. Zagreb County, on the other
hand, is located in the central part of the Republic of Croatia and borders on six other counties
- Karlovac County, Sisak-Moslavina County, Bjelovar-Bilogora County, Koprivnica-Križevci
County, Varaždin County and Krapina-Zagorje County. At the same time, like a ring, the city
of Zaprešić surrounds Zagreb, the capital of the Republic of Croatia. The research in this
paper was conducted in the period from February 29 to March 12, 2020. The research was
conducted on a sample of 104 respondents, four of whom did not visit the city of Zaprešić and
did not continue the survey after the selection question. Respondents are most satisfied with
the traffic accessibility of the destination. Respondents are most satisfied with the traffic
accessibility of the location and the beauty of nature and landscape, while they are least
satisfied with the offer of organized trips to the surroundings and the program for bad
weather. Currently, there is no current document aimed at the development of tourism and the
tourist offer of the city of Zaprešić. If the city of Zaprešić wants to have control over future
development, it should first of all have an answer to the question of where it wants to be or on
which tourist products it will base its offer. The city of Zaprešić should focus on branding the
city and its tourist attractions. Branding in tourism is a process that distinguishes a certain
destination by its characteristics, creating its identity.
