Abstract
Turizam su odnosi i pojave što proizlaze iz putovanja i boravka posjetitelja određene destinacije, ako je to putovanje pokrenuto prvenstveno radi odmora i osobnog uživanja. Turizam događanja, koji u sebi uključuje organiziranje raznih festivala, koncerata, konferencija, poslovnih sastanaka, izložbi, priredbi i drugo, jedna je od brzo rastućih grana turizma u svijetu. Cilj ovog završnog rada je analizirati mogućnosti razvoja festivalskog turizma grada Novalje. Svrha rada je spoznati važnost razvoja spomenute turističke grane i značaj razvoja i prilike (ali i prijetnje) festivalskog turizma koje on donosi prvenstveno destinaciji na kojoj se odvija, a zatim i regiji (državi). Festivalska publika mlada je, obrazovana, zahtjevna, informirana i željna zabave i stoga je posebnu pozornost potrebno obratiti prilikom planiranja održivog turističkog razvoja destinacije festivalskog turizma.
Abstract (english)
Tourism are relationships and phenomena that arise from the travel and stay of visitors to a particular destination, if that trip is initiated primarily for the purpose of rest and personal enjoyment. Event tourism, which include the organization of various festivals, concerts, conferences, business meetings, exhibitions, events and more, is one of the fastest growing branches of tourism in the world. The aim of this paper is to analyze the possibilities for the development of festival tourism in the city of Novalja. The purpose of this paper is to recognize the importance of the development of the mentioned branch of tourism and the importance of development and opportunities (but also threats) of festival tourism that it brings primarily to the destination where it takes place, and then to the region (state). The festival audience is young, educated, demanding, informed and eager to have fun and therefore special attention should be taken when planning the sustainable tourism development of the festival tourism destination.
