Abstract
Opatijska rivijera područje je specifičnog geografskog položaja. Smještena je u podnožju planine Učka uz more s mnoštvo atraktivnih prirodnih i geografskih čimbenika. Grad Opatija destinacija je s dugom tradicijom turizma još od 19. stoljeća, kada se zbog povoljnih klimatskih uvjeta i blizine mora počinje razvijati kao odredište lječilišnog i zdravstvenog turizma, zadržavši tu karakteristiku i danas, unatoč političkim i društvenim zbivanjima i previranjima kroz povijest. Osnovu turističke ponude cjelokupne rivijere, a osobito Opatije, čine visokokategorizirani hoteli s kongresnim dvoranama i kapacitetima što ju čini idealnom destinacijom za održavanje poslovnih skupova, seminara i kongresa, a brojne prirodne atraktivnosti te blizina planine i parka prirode Učka omogućuju poslovnim turistima da se izvan vremena trajanja kongresa opuste i uživaju. Tržište poslovnog i kongresnog turizma izuzetno je dinamično, razvijaju se nove destinacije, pojavljuju se novi trendovi. Prema tome važno je kontinuirano unaprjeđivati kongresnu ponudu i promovirati destinaciju kako bi se jačala konkurentnost i unaprijedilo poslovanje prepoznavanjem trendova na tržištu.
Abstract (english)
The Opatija Riviera is an area with a specific geographical position. It is located by the sea at the foot of Mount Učka with many attractive natural and geographical factors. The Town of Opatija is a destination with a long tradition of tourism ranging back to the 19th century, when due to favorable climate conditions and its proximity to the sea began developing as a destination for spa and health tourism, retaining this characteristic today, despite political and social developments and turmoil throughout history. The basis of the tourist offer of the entire Riviera, and especially Opatija, are hotels with high star ratings that are equipped with congress halls and facilities, which makes it an ideal destination for business meetings, seminars and congresses. This, as well as numerous natural attractions and the Riviera's proximity to Mount Učka and the Učka Nature Park, allows participants to relax and enjoy beyond the duration of the congress. The business and congress tourismmarket is extremely dynamic, new destinations are being developed, new trends are emerging. Therefore, it is important to continuously improve the congress offer and promote the destination in order to strengthen competitiveness and improve business by identifying market trends.
