Abstract
Avanturistički turizam definira se kao vrsta selektivnih oblika turizma koji potiče turiste na aktivno bavljenje fizičkim aktivnostima, boravkom u prirodi te kulturološko uranjanje. Često se avanturizam veže uz izlazak iz zone komfora, a osim toga karakterizira ga adrenalin, uzbuđenje, rizik, opasnost, autentično iskustvo i nezaboravan doživljaj. Ubrzan razvitak avanturističkog turizma odgovor je na zahtjeve potražnje koja se sve više orijentira na aktivan odmor i bijeg od masovnog turizma koji uključuje segmente ˝sunce i more˝. Na globalnoj razini postoje mnogobrojne avanturističke aktivnosti, a kao najznačajnije navode se biciklizam, planinarenje, ronjenje, trekking, kajaking, penjanje, špiljarenje i jahanje. S obzirom na bogate prirodne resurse i atraktivna klimatska obilježja, Istarska županija nameće se kao idealna destinacija za razvoj avanturističkog turizma. Daljnje razvijanje avanturističkog turizma na području Istre omogućuje turistima nove oblike odmora uz nesvakidašnja iskustva, dok s druge strane pruža dodanu vrijednost lokalnoj ekonomiji. Uz pravilno upravljanje razvojem i praćenjem smjernica za budući razvoj avanturističkog turizma, Istarska županija može kvalitetno iskoristiti sve svoje mogućnosti i potencijale.
Abstract (english)
Adventure tourism is defined as a type of selective forms of tourism that encourages tourists to actively engage in physical activities, staying in nature and cultural immersion. Often, adventure tourism is associated with stepping out of the comfort zone, and in addition, it is characterized by adrenaline, excitement, risk, danger, authentic and unforgettable experience. The rapid development of adventure tourism is a response to the requests of demand, which is increasingly oriented towards active holidays and escape from mass tourism, which includes the segments of "sun and sea". Globally, there are many adventure activities, and the most important ones are cycling, hiking, diving, trekking, kayaking, climbing, caving and horseback riding. Given the rich natural resources and attractive climatic characteristics, Istrian County is emerging as an ideal destination for the development of adventure tourism. Further development of adventure tourism in Istria allows tourists new forms of vacation with unusual experiences, while on the other hand, it provides added value to the local economy. With proper management of development and monitoring of guidelines for the future development of adventure tourism, the County of Istria can make good use of all its opportunities and potentials.
