Abstract
Većina zemaljaizravna inozemna ulaganja smatra vrlo važnim za privlačenje stranih novčanih sredstava i za poticanje kao i aktiviranje znanja i vještina koje su neophodne za razvitak zemlje. Zemlje u razvoju u svojim gospodarstvima stvaraju povoljne uvjete poslovanja da bi privukli strane ulagače. Također, od velike važnosti su i ulaganja u nove kapacitete tzv., greenfield investicije koje su jedna od vrsta izravnih inozemnih ulaganja. Sam naziv greenfield označava zemljište koje nikad nije bilo korišteno te ne postoji potreba za obnavljanjem postojeće infrastrukture. Greenfield investicija označuje izravno inozemno ulaganje strane države pri kojem poslovanje započinje izgradnjom infrastrukture koja je potrebna za poslovanje iz temelja. Inozemno poduzeće ulaže u izgradnju novih ureda, pogona, lokacija, itd. Postoje dobre i loše strane ulaganja u nove kapacitete koji utječu na gospodarski rast Republike Hrvatske. S jedne strane se povećava zaposlenost zemlje u koju se ulaže, a s druge strane zemlja se suočava sa nepovoljnim posljedicama jer se prihod domaćih poduzeća prenosi na podružnice inozemnih poduzeća. Abstract (english)
Most countries consider foreign direct investment to be very important for attracting foreign funds and for encouraging as well as activating the knowledge and skills necessary for the country's development. Developing countries create favorable business conditions in their economies to attract foreign investors. Also of great importance are investments in new capacities, the so-called "greenfield" investments, which are one of the types of foreign direct investment. The very name greenfield means land that has never been used and there is no need to renovate the existing infrastructure. Greenfield investment means a foreign direct investment by a foreign country in which the business begins with the construction of the infrastructure needed to operate from the ground up. A foreign company invests in the construction of new offices, plants, locations, etc. There are good and bad foreign investments in new capacities that affect the economic growth of the Republic of Croatia. On the one hand, the employment of the country in which it is invested is increasing, and on the other hand, the country is facing unfavorable consequences because the income of domestic companies is transferred to the subsidiaries of foreign companies.
