Understanding the behavior of the guest in the concept of the service environment is essential in order to influence and enable the shaping of factors that influence the behavior of the guest during their stay in the restaurant. Music creates the atmosphere of the restaurant and can have a strong influence on the perception, emotions and mood of the guest during they stay. In order to enhance the experience of dining in a restaurant, it is possible to use music as a means of manipulating satisfaction. This paper investigates the influence of music in restaurants on guest behavior with the aim of improving the dining experience. An experiment was conducted that collected quantitative data to examine the impact of three different musical styles on guest satisfaction, referral intention, and return. Based on the analysis of the results, it is concluded that jazz music is the most pleasant and best rated by the guest, but overall satisfaction with the service and dining experience is rated best in the situation of R&B soul music. The research also confirmed the influence of music in restaurants on guest behavior and the existence of a statistically significant difference between R&B soul, funk and jazz music in the restaurant ambience. The results of the conducted research encourage further more precise research on the topic of the influence of music in restaurants on guest behavior and provide a basis for further research on this topic.
