Abstract
Globalizacija je međunarodnu poslovnu ekspanziju učinila sve važnijom za opstanak, rast i uspjeh modernih tvrtki. Financijska kriza, kao i posljedica nedostatka povjerenja u postojeće banke, stvorila je priliku za nove konkurente da uđu na tržište financijskih usluga. Početkom dvadeset i prvog stoljeća pojavio se novi bankarski sustav koji karakterizira raznolik raspon nedepozitnih institucija koje daju dugoročne i nelikvidne kredite te se kratko zadužuju na likvidnim tržištima. Shadow banking odnosi se na aktivnosti koje uključuju neke elemente transformacije dospijeća i likvidnosti, odobravanja zajma i prijenosa rizika koje se provode djelomično ili u potpunosti izvan sustava „tradicionalnog bankarstva“. Kako uporaba bankarstva u sjeni i drugih nereguliranih sustava kreditiranja raste, fokus financijskih savjeta preusmjerio se na učinke koje će imati na gospodarstvo i tržišta, kao i na to zašto su ljudi povećali njihovu upotrebu.
Abstract (english)
Globalization has made international business expansion increasingly important for modern firms' survival, growth, and success. The financial crisis, as well as the resulting lack of confidence in existing banks, created an opportunity for new competitors to enter the financial services market. The beginning of the twenty-first century saw the emergence of a new banking system characterized by a diverse range of non-deposit institutions lending long-term and illiquidity and borrowing briefly in liquid markets. Shadow banking refers to activities that include some elements of maturity and liquidity transformation, loan extension, and risk transfer that are carried out in part or entirely outside of the “traditional banking” system. As the use of shadow banking and other unregulated lending systems grows, the focus of financial advice has shifted to the effects it will have on the economy and markets, as well as why people have increased their use.
