Abstract
Final paper under the name of „Health tourism: Case of island Lošinj“ contains a theoretical part which defines health tourism, explains his emergence through historical development and describes the types of health tourism. Croatia has a rich tradition of health tourism since Roman times due to numerous natural healing factors. With the aim of showing the current state of health tourism in Croatia, the offer of health tourism in Croatia is described and competitors in this segment are stated. Also, SWOT analysis which contemplates the strenghts and weaknesses of health tourism in Croatia as well as opportunities and threats that the country faces on the market. The beginning and development of health tourism is described with special emphasis on natural healing factors as prerequisites for the development of health tourism on the island of Lošinj. In harmony with that the offer of health programs and services of the island of Lošinj within the health resort and hotels of Mali and Veli Lošinj is described. Finally, a plan for the development of winter health tourism on the island of Lošinj will be presented in harmony with health tourism data in Mali Lošinj, which would contribute to global recognition of health tourism of the island of Lošinj.
Abstract (croatian)
Završni rad pod nazivom „Zdravstveni turizam: razvoj na otoku Lošinju“ sadrži teorijski dio koji definira zdravstveni turizam, objašnjava njegov nastanak kroz povijesni razvoj i opisuje vrste zdravstvenog turizma. Hrvatska ima bogatu tradiciju zdravstvenog turizma još od rimskog doba zbog brojnih prirodnih čimbenika liječenja. S ciljem prikazivanja trenutnog stanja zdravstvenog turizma u Hrvatskoj, opisuje se ponuda zdravstvenog turizma u Hrvatskoj i navode konkurenti u ovom segmentu. Također, SWOT analiza koja promatra snage i slabosti zdravstvenog turizma u Hrvatskoj kao i mogućnosti i prijetnje s kojima se zemlja suočava na tržištu. Opisan je početak i razvoj zdravstvenog turizma s posebnim naglaskom na prirodne ljekovite činitelje kao preduvjete za razvoj zdravstvenog turizma na otoku Lošinju. U skladu s tim opisana je i ponuda zdravstvenih programa i usluga otoka Lošinja u sklopu lječilišta i hotela Mali i Veli Lošinj. Na kraju će biti predstavljen plan razvoja zimskog zdravstvenog turizma na otoku Lošinju u skladu s podacima zdravstvenog turizma u Malom Lošinju, što bi doprinijelo globalnom prepoznavanju zdravstvenog turizma otoka Lošinja.
