Abstract
Tema ovoga rada je važnost maslinovog ulja za turističku ponudu Istre. Maslina se na području Istre uzgaja još od rimskoga doba te predstavlja jedan od ključnih faktora za njen razvoj i napredak. Cilj rada je dati osnovne informacije o tradiciji maslinova ulja i njegovoj povijesti u svijetu i Istarskoj županiji, preradi i vrstama maslinova ulja te o značajkama i kvaliteti maslinova ulja. Osim povijesti i procesa prerade maslinova ulja ovaj rad će istaknuti važnost i značaj istarskog maslinovog ulja kao integralnog i više nego potrebnog sastojka u turističkoj ponudi Istre. Uzimajući u obzir da je maslinovo ulje svjetski poznati proizvod, esencijalan za gastronomiju te da se u Istri proizvodi u velikim količinama i glavni je ekonomski pokretač velikog broja malih poduzeća i obiteljskih poljoprivrednih gospodarstava ovaj će rad opisati važnost maslinovog ulja u samome turističkome proizvodu i načine pomoću koji bi se taj značajan i kvalitetan proizvod valorizirao i povećao vrijednost turističkoga proizvoda Istarske županije.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this paper is the importance of olive oil for the tourist offer of Istria. Olives have been cultivated in Istria since Roman times and represent one of the key factors for the development and progress of the Istria Country. The aim of this paper is to provide basic information about the tradition of olive oil and its history in the world and in the Istrian region, the processing and the types of olive oil as well as the characteristics and quality of olive oil. In addition to the history and processing of olive oil, this paper will highlight the importance and significance of Istrian olive oil as an integral and more than needed element in the tourist offer of Istria. Considering that olive oil is a world-famous product, essential for gastronomy and that it is produced in large quantities in Istria as well as the main economic driver of a large number of small businesses and family farms in Istria, this paper will describe the importance of olive oil in the tourist product itself and the ways in which this important and quality product would be valorised and increase the value of the tourist product of the Istrian County.
