Contemporary Croatian gastronomic offer is based on an excellent combination of modern and traditional elements. Innovation plays a key role in this respect given the need for continuous investment in something new, enhancing the existing offering. Branding the tourist offer of the Republic of Croatia and the one-of-a-kind offer of the island of Rab is the perfect way to continue marketing on the world markets while maintaining a relationship with old tourists and attracting new tourists. The subject of the final paper refers to the gastronomic offer as a factor in the development of a tourist destination. The aim of this paper is to analyze and approach the gastronomic offer, which is also one of the important choices which destination a tourist will choose. This paper will highlight the importance of knowing traditional foods and beverages and their offerings and importance for a particular location. Eco-tourism is an integral part of local life and is made up of history, culture, economy and society. In doing so, it incorporates the natural potential to enrich the visitor experience, establishing a direct connection with the region, people, culture and heritage. The Republic of Croatia, including the island of Rab, has not yet exploited the full potential of its existing ecogastronomic offer. In the future, it is necessary to create and implement a strategy for the development of this type of tourism, and to focus attention on creating appropriate ways of quality use of this huge tourism potential.
