The area of the island of Pag is extremely attractive and complex due to the interdependence of natural and socio-geographical processes. Strong links between lamb and the entire area of the island of Pag represent the results of traditional and other circumstances. From year to year, the recognition of the island of Pag as a tourist attraction is growing not only in the Republic of Croatia but around the world. The gastronomic tourism of the island of Pag is part of special interests that explore natural resources and potential that can create cultural art and special interest of the people as a tourist destination. Gastronomic tourism provides tourists with an original culinary offer and a much greater understanding and appreciation of the cultural richness and high level of cuisine. In this sense, gastronomic tourism has strong potential to improve destination management, culture promotion and contribution to other sectors such as agriculture and food production and this should certainly be taken into account in the process of planning tourism development of the island of Pag.
