This these explores the topic of sustainability in transport and urban mobility in the context of tourism. Sustainable trends in the development of transport are analyzed and their importance in relation to the negative effects of transport on the environment is highlighted. Innovations in the transport sector that contribute to sustainability, new technologies in transport, especially their role in achieving transport sustainability and innovative transport management models are also explored. The focus is on urban mobility in tourism, analyzing the determinants important for tourism in cities and problems with urban mobility and their impact on destination tourism. On the example of the largest city centers in the Republic of Croatia, a survey of the attitudes and behavior of residents regarding the sustainability of urban mobility is conducted. The conducted research, results are described and suggestions are given for improving the sustainability of traffic in cities. The aim of the paper is to provide insight into sustainable trends, innovations and research and to identify opportunities for improving the sustainability of transport in cities, which is key to achieving sustainable development of transport and tourism.
